What we do.
The goal for every project is to softly illuminate the landscape while balancing the aesthetic and functional aspects of outdoor lighting. We bring the natural beauty of each setting to life after dark, creating a sense of depth while allowing safety and ease during nighttime use.
In addition to serving clients directly, LANDLUX collaborates with leading Landscape Architects, Architects, Designers, and High End Construction Firms that serve the Hamptons, NYC, Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, and CT markets, providing extraordinary landscape lighting Design, Installation, and Maintenance services.
LANDLUX is led by Shane O’Keeffe. O’Keeffe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture and is a Certified Outdoor Lighting Designer (COLD). One of fewer than 70 Certified Outdoor Lighting Designers in the U.S., Shane graduated from this course in 2020.
Bringing more than 15 years of experience to LANDLUX, O’Keeffe has worked in the Horticultural/Outdoor Lighting industry in the U.S., Ireland, and New Zealand. He founded and led the Landscape Lighting Division for a leading Hamptons/NYC Landscape Construction firm, where he served as Landscape Lighting Designer and Senior Project Manager for more than 8 years. During this time, O’Keeffe designed and managed significant landscape lighting projects in the Hamptons, LI, NYC, the Hudson Valley, and Greenwich, CT.
Jason Cutler joined the LANDLUX team in 2026. Jason holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University.
Focusing on Marketing, Jason worked in the International Marketing Communications field within the healthcare industry.
Jason later transitioned into a landscape lighting and audio design role and honed his skills over 10 years designing lighting and audio projects for installers across the country and internationally.
Jason brings with him graphic design, marketing, sales, and management experience to continue development of the business further.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP)
Founded in 2001, AOLP’S mission is the promotion of the landscape and architectural lighting industry and the support of outdoor lighting designers and installers through the establishment of professional standards. COLD (Certified Outdoor Lighting Designer) is the Association’s outdoor lighting design certification designation. Certification through this program is the industry’s gold standard. Shane O’Keeffe, Founder & President of LANDLUX is one of fewer than 70 COLD designees in the U.S.
International Landscape Lighting Institute
The International Landscape Lighting Institute (ILLI) was founded in the 1990s with the purpose of promoting excellence in landscape lighting through the provision of education and resources for landscape lighting design professionals. Its programs encourage a sense of community within the industry and support partnership with leading landscape lighting product manufacturers. ILLI became a not-for-profit organization in 2010.
